What is Radon?
Radon is a colorless, odorless radioactive gas that seeps up from the earth. When inhaled, it gives off radioactive particles that can damage the cells that line the lung. Long term exposure to radon can lead to lung cancer. In fact, over 21,000 lung cancer deaths in the US each year are from radon, making it a serious health concern for all Minnesotans.
Why Choose us?
We are NRPP certified, meaning we carry a radon certification that most radon testers do not. More information can be found at the NRPP website. This is important in MN as there are no regulations regarding radon testing. We offer CRM testing (continuous radon monitor) testing. We utilize Sun Nuclear radon monitors. With this comes reports that are delivered right after the inspection period concludes. We generally drop the radon unit off at the inspection but if contingency periods get tight we can drop it off prior to our inspection.
What does it cost?
Our fees for radon testing are as follows: CRM test in conjunction with a home inspection = $125, as a standalone service = $150
